Walter F. Junkins, JFA Director

In the spring of this year, the Board of Directors invited Walter F. Junkins of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania to serve on the board along with his wife, Jean. They had planned to attend their first board meeting on August 28th and did make the trip to Maine even though the meeting had to be called off.1

Walter F.10 (William Lawford9, William Perrie8, Charles Edward7, William6, John5, John4, Alexander3, Alexander2, Robert1) was born in Boston, Mass., attended the Boston public schools and was apprenticed on the NY, NH, H Railroad. During the 2nd World War, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps. and retired as a Major after 24 years service. He then took a position with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and retired after 15 years service as the Director of Weights and Measures. He then became a licensed private detective in Pennsylvania. He is a past commander of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Military Order of the World Wars, Past President of the Crime Clinic of Greater Harrisburg, Past President and present comptroller of the Criminal Investigation Division Agents Assoc., a world wide Organization of Criminal Investigators, a member of the Greater Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce and various Masonic bodies in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

We are happy to have Walter and his wife Jean serving on the Board.
