Robert C. Junkins

Robert C. Junkins, 74, died April 21, 2001 at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, OH. He was born June 30, 1926 to Grace (Mercer) and Floyd A. Junkins. Robert retired after 40 years as a lineman for Ohio Power in Lima and Tiffin. He was a member of Sait Mark United Methodist Churck; AEP Vetrans Association; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, Lima, and Senior Citizens of Lima.

He was a member of Masonic Bodies Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, Garrett Wykoff Lodge 585 Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Daton, Antioch Temple AAONMS of Dayton, Lime Shrine Club, The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio and The Grand Council of Royal and Select Masons of Ohio. He was a founder of the West Central Ohio Rock Club. He was a graduate of Tiffin Colombian High School in 1944 and attended Tiffin University. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 503rd Parachute Regiment in the Philippines and later in the 188th Parachute Regiment in Japan.

He enjoyed lapidary, model trains, boating, playing musical keyboard and amateur radio.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Junkins of Buckland and John Junkins of Lima; four grandsons; and friend and caregiver Margaret Shaffer of Lima, Ohio.
