Philip D.10 Junkins, (Raymond D.9, Dexter E.8, Samuel C.7, Thomas6, Samuel J.5, Samuel4, Joseph3, Alexander2, Robert1)

During the summer months, several Junkins families have been visiting in the York area and have taken the time to see some of their ancestors' graves among the various Junkins burial grounds maintained by the Junkins Family Association. Philip and his wife, Sylvia, who live in Las Vegas, Nevada, spent a week with us after attending his fiftieth high school reunion in Cleveland, Ohio. Philip is a 10th generation descendant of Robert and has several direct ancestors buried in York. One, Samuel, is the oldest marked grave among the eight Junkins burial grounds in York. Philip's gr-gr-grandmother, Mary (Curtis) Junkins, is buried in what we call the Mary Cemetery on Rt. 1, York Corners. Philip has three children: Kevin, Steven and Kellie Lee, and five grandchildren: Raymond, Edward, Kimberley Ann, Jessica Lee, Heidi Ann, and Melisa Anne.

Below we see Philip at the grave site of his great-great-great-great-grandfather Samuel Junkins (1735-1791).
