Annie I. (MacDonald) Junkins, 82, of Buxton, ME died Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. At her side were some of her loving family including: Mailin and Gilian, Troy and Kris, Bryon, "My" Linda and Leona, Becky and Scott, and Roland and Linda.
Annie was born August 10, 1924 in Dayton, a daughter of John and Margaret (Gates) MacDonald, one of 13 children.
Ann, always a hard worker, had beautiful gardens, enjoyed canning vegetables, and was well-known for her fabulous cooking. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and card games, especially Skip-Bo with her dear friends and her poodle "Penni" by her side.
Her beloved husband of 49 years, Merton H. Junkins, died May 21, 1996.
Survivors include: her son, Roland Junkins and wife Linda of Standish, ME; one brother, Edward MacDonald of Tifton, GA; three grandchildren, Rebecca Nutting and Scott of Limerick, Robin Norton and Tony of Standish, and Beaver Norton and Paula of Limington; seven great-grandchildren: Maelin, Gilien, Raymond, Shayne, M.J., Ashley, and Teresa.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 26 at 3 p.m. at South Buxton Cemetery.
