This hardcover, coffee-table quality, limited edition of approximately 470 pages is filled with essays and over 400 illustrations and both black and white and full-color photographs focusing on the twentieth century life in York. The text of the book has been written by well-known local authors and included sections on Public Health & Safety, Land Use, Landmarks, Commerce, Education, Recreation, Communication, Transportation & Utilities, the Arts, Government and Religion. There are many special pages highlighting the histories of York's most prominent founding families including the Junkins family and the Junkins Family Association.
